Valve, Fuel Drain - Gascolator - Piper

Prior to 1990, Piper installed Gascolator Drain Valves that locked in place when opened. 

After 1990 Piper installed the same valve, but made them UNLOCKING, preventing operators from accidentally leaving them open.

On December 1, 2022 Piper issued SERVICE LETTER  1302 "suggesting all operators of Pipers from PA-11 thru PA-28RT'-201T's" to check their aircraft to ensure they have the NON-LOCKING Valve installed.
